What does that mean and why should you do it? Let's consider the basics...... This term comes from the base word alkali. Alkalis are best known for being bases (compounds with a pH greater than 7) that dissolve in water. Acids are the opposite of alkalis, sometimes referred to as bases, on the pH scale. You know that your body is about 70% water. So if the water you are drinking is alkalized, this will have a large impact on the pH level of your body. Another way is to change your diet. There are many popular, seemingly wholesome foods that are naturally highly acidic to your body. By starting a diet that contains alkaline foods you can achieve a higher pH level.
